Trump’s Trade Marks

Trump’s Trade Marks

During 2016, the Russian Intellectual Property Office renewed a number of Trump trade marks – including 4 trade marks on the day of the US election. This is despite the fact that Donald Trump claims he has no business interests in Russia. The fact that Trump renewed his trade marks in Russia appears to contradict Trump’s insistence that he has no business interest in Russia. However, since Trump took office his company has renewed not only Russian trade marks, but also a large number of marks in both Mexico and China. Both countries were targeted during Trump’s campaign as being threats to US business. The Trump Organisation currently has 157 pending trade mark applications world-wide.
